Eligibility
All regular employees working 25 or more hours per week are eligible to participate in SGX Pharmaceuticals' benefit programs upon date of hire (with exception of the 401(k) plan).
Summary of Benefits
| Medical Insurance |
SGX Pharmaceuticals offers eligible employees the choice of two medical plans through Aetna: Aetna HMO Plan or Aetna OAMC Plan. |
| Dental Insurance |
SGX Pharmaceuticals offers eligible employees the choice of two dental plans through Aetna: Freedom of Choice PPO plan with in-network and out-of-network options or the Freedom of Choice DMO Plan with no annual maximum. |
| Vision Coverage |
When you enroll in medical coverage, SGX Pharmaceuticals offers free vision coverage through VSP (Vision Service Plan). |
| 401(k) Savings Plan |
Eligible employees may elect to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan on January 1, April 1, July 1 or October 1 following their date of hire. |
| Vacation & Sick Time |
Full-time employees are eligible to accrue 15 days of vacation time in their first year of employment. Employees are provided with 5 sick days each calendar year to use for personal or family illness. |
| Section 125 Plan |
SGX Pharmaceuticals offers a Flexible Spending Account for medical and dependent day care expenses. This plan allows employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for certain expenses. We also offer a Section 125 Premium Plan which allows for employees to make the premium contributions for their medical and dental insurance coverage on a pre-tax basis. |
| Group Term Life Insurance & Supplemental Life |
SGX Pharmaceuticals provides eligible employees with two times base annual salary in term life insurance to a maximum of $250,000. The cost of this insurance is paid by the Company. Also included is Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage in the same amount. |
| Short-Term Disability Insurance |
Short-Term Disability Insurance covers eligible employees beginning on the 7th day of a continuous injury or illness and continues for 90 days. |
| Long-Term Disability Insurance |
Long-Term Disability Insurance covers eligible employees who become disabled or ill and cannot work when the disability continues beyond 90 days. |
| Personal Insurance Plans |
Personal Cancer Protector Plan and Personal Accident Expense Plan's are offered to employees through AFLAC. These plans allow employees to make the premium contributions for insurance coverage on a pre-tax basis. |
